This workshop is ideal for students with some drawing experience who are ready to build confidence in their skills and begin working with coloured pencils.
What You’ll Learn:
- How to sketch daffodils with accuracy and attention to botanical details
- Exploring unique and interesting angles of flowers and leaves
- Composition techniques to enhance your final piece
- Coloured pencil application, blending, and finishing techniques
- How to build a more complex, refined artwork from your initial sketch
- How to observe directly from specimens for more realistic results—without relying on photographs
- Artistic inspiration from leading international botanical artists
Miffy will guide you through composition planning,
drawing methods, and colour theory. There will be plenty of time for feedback,
questions, and independent work on your piece.
Whether you're looking to build confidence, improve
your technique, or just enjoy a creative day with others, this workshop offers
a great mix of guidance and practice.
There will also be a follow-up 2 hour session included,
held on Saturday 30th August from 9:30am - 11:30am to check in, get Miffy’s advice on
any problem-solving, and gain extra feedback for your piece!
