Early Childhood Educator

Park Orchards Community House & Learning Centre (POCH&LCI) is a not-for-profit neighbourhood house that provides the local community with opportunities for lifelong learning and connection. Our Mission is to provide quality community engagement through social, recreational and learning activities. We do this by placing a community development lens over all activities courses and classes we offer. We offer occasional care for children between the ages 0-6 and are looking for a casual diploma qualified educator to work with us Monday to Friday from 8:45 to 4.30pm.
At POCH&LCI we create high quality environments that inspire children to play and learn. We provide a safe, nurturing, supportive and inclusive place for children. We recognise and value play in regard to learning and development and believe that outdoor nature play is fundamental for children’s wellbeing.
About the role
We are seeking a diploma qualified educator for our multi aged occasional care centre.
To be considered for this position, applicants will need to be available to work 5 days per week in casual position.
Qualifications and experience
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or earlier equivalent)
- Working with Children Check (employee classification)
- National Police Check (not older than 3 months)
- Current Health Clearance
- Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID012 Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strength and Move & Tone Instructor
Park Orchards Community House & Learning Centre Incorporated is looking for an instructor to take our term classes.
Hours: Casual
Park Orchards Community House & Learning Centre Inc. offer a number of health and fitness courses for our community during school terms, run at various days and times.
Classes run at our serene Warrandyte South Hall location, with plenty of on-site parking, heating and cooling, and kitchen facilities available.
Trainers are supported by our administration team, and duties include:
- Open and close the hall in accordance with policies and procedures
- Lead the class and instruct students in a professional manner
- Operate in compliance with OH&S standards
- Take accurate class attendance
About the role
We are searching for an enthusiastic fitness trainer with experience leading students or clients in strength, cardio and toning exercises using a range of equipment such as dumbbells, bands and body weight exercises.
To be considered for this position, applicants will need to be available to instruct either one one-hour class each week, or 2 one-hour classes (day and time flexible).
