This introductory course is the perfect starting point for anyone new to mental health concepts, whether you're looking to support others in your personal life or are considering a career in the mental health or community services sector.
You'll explore key principles such as recovery-oriented and trauma-informed care, self-advocacy, and strategies to assess and promote wellbeing. Through a supportive and engaging learning environment, you’ll develop practical skills in empathetic communication, recognising diverse needs, and providing person-centred support.
Whether you're pursuing further study or simply want to build your understanding, this course will equip you with the foundational knowledge and confidence to engage meaningfully with those experiencing mental health challenges, and to care for your own wellbeing, too.
